How It Works

Participants in each group meet separately online once a week for a 1-hour session at times determined by each group. Each session includes a presentation given by one of our early childhood experts, an opportunity for participants to share a real-world, anonymous case study from their work, and immediate feedback from expert specialists and the participants’ peers.

Typical EC ECHO Session Flow

EC ECHO Topics

We work hard to tailor each session’s topics to our participants’ needs. We offer a large selection of early childhood topics and identify Mississippi experts to speak to early childhood topics that are new to us. A few of our current topics include:

  • What are ACEs and Trauma?
  • Curiosity in Communication –Having Difficult Conversations with Parents
  • Strategies to Foster Positive Behavior as Part of Your Classroom Management Plan
  • Early Developmental Milestones
  • Social and Emotional Development in Children
  • And more

Our Experts

During each session, participants have the opportunity to hear a presentation from one of our early childhood experts. Our team includes specialists in various fields, such as early childhood development and education, child psychology, pediatric medicine, social work, and speech-language pathology.

Professional Development

In addition to the invaluable skills, resources, and strategies that our participants gain through EC ECHO, we also offer free professional development. We offer one contact hour per EC ECHO session participants attend.
